Designing Social fundraising platform

THE PROBLEM

With a growing number of people out of work along with strict social distancing measures in place these two factors spell disaster for the non-profit community.

OVERVIEW

Watch For Good is a charitable social network and marketplace. Their goal is to increase the corporate social responsibility footprint within the giving community through sponsorships, fundraising, advocacy, and social.

ROLE

I worked deeply through each step in the design process and ultimately brought the idea from conception to fruition. The experience was challenging but incredibly fulfilling. Worked with the WatchForGood team – conduct user research, competitor audits, affinity mapping, designed using the solution-based approach, prototyping.

This survey was written to get a better understanding of how respondents use social media, how they donate to various charities/causes, who the respondents support, and how these behaviors overlap when using social media.

We conducted competitor analysis across existing apps that offer similar features to our idea. We examined the things these apps did well, and the things that could be improved on. Through this, some of the key takeaways:
